“No one cares about your blog unless you are adding value to their lives in some way.” ~Jonathan Milligan
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve had a love for literature. Reading has helped me through many seasons of life. Educating myself through reading about the experience, strength and hope of others has been a habit I developed at a young age. Until blogs came around, I would always be studying a book or two.
Blogging has only become popular in the last 20 years. Today, blogging has developed into part of our mainstream culture. You can find a blog for almost any subject. I, myself, love reading Christian blogs, and I read a few posts daily.
I find that Christian blogs encourage, comfort and influence my walk with the Lord.
I’ve put together a list of inspiring Christian blogs for your perusal. May they help you to broaden your horizons and add value to your life as a Christian.
1. IBelieve
“The purpose of iBelieve.com is to help women wrestle with the deeper issues of their faith as it relates to the world around them. As Christian women, we know you are facing a set of challenges unique to your generation. With an emphasis on personal experiences, our team of writers and bloggers hope to uplift, challenge and encourage you as you live out your faith. Read daily devotions for women, blogs by your favorite Christian female bloggers, articles on faith, relationships, health and beauty, food and home, motherhood, and career. iBelieve.com also provides Christian ecards and inspirations to encourage and uplift your sisters in Christ!” (taken from the “about” page)
“The Gospel Coalition (TGC) is a Christian-based blog that allows readers to view videos, listen to podcasts, and read the articles to get inspired about their daily Christian life. It is multimedia-rich and features some significant topics that should be addressed for modern Christians. If you are looking for a blog to bookmark that addresses important issues in Christianity, this might be the blog for you. You can also download the podcasts to listen on-the-go.” ~ Zac Johnson (Blogging.org).
Gary Thomas wrote my favorite book on marriage, “Sacred Marriage” and my favorite book for singles, “Sacred Search.”
“Gary Thomas is a bestselling author and international speaker whose ministry brings people closer to Christ and closer to others. He unites the study of Scripture, church history, and the Christian classics to foster spiritual growth and deeper relationships within the Christian community.” (taken from the “about” page)

Elizabeth and Jim have become my friends via twitter. They have a powerful ministry helping men, women, marriages and families. I love their heart for God and their ministry.
“Elizabeth and Jim George are bestselling authors and national speakers dedicated to helping people live a life after God’s own heart. Together, they have written over 70 books with more than 13 million copies sold. For over 30 years, the teachings and steadfast example of Elizabeth and Jim have helped countless men and women.” (taken from the “about” page)
Susie Larson has a gift of encouragement, and I am so grateful that she shares it with the body of Christ. There have been many a days where her words lifted me out of a pit of despair.
“Susie Larson is a talk radio host, national speaker, and bestselling author of fifteen books and many articles. In both 2016 and 2017 Susie was nominated and voted into the top ten group for the John Maxwell Leadership Award. Susie has been married to her dear husband Kevin since 1985 and together they have three wonderful sons, three beautiful daughters-in-law, and one adorable pit bull named Memphis. Susie’s passion is to see women everywhere awakened to the value of their soul, the depth of God’s love, and the height of their calling in Christ Jesus.” (taken from the “about” page)
7. Boundless
“Boundless is an award-winning ministry of Focus on the Family with the goal of helping young adults grow up, own their faith, date with purpose and prepare for marriage and family. Through articles, a group blog, a weekly podcast and the power of community, we challenge 20- and 30-somethings to reject society’s low expectations and live biblically and intentionally in all things, including relationships.” (taken from the “about” page)
8. Desiring God
“Most people in the world have no experience of deep and abiding joy. Even though it is something we all desperately long for, the assurance that true happiness can be known — fully and forever — is a hope that billions of people live every day without. This is a tragedy. Desiring God is on a mission to change that. Everything we create and distribute here at Desiring God exists to guide you toward everlasting joy in Jesus Christ.” (taken from the “about” page)
“I am a national and international speaker, author, licensed clinical social worker, consultant and relationship coach with an expertise on the subjects of personal and spiritual growth, marriage improvement, conflict resolution, depression, child abuse, destructive relationships and domestic violence. One of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping people in difficult and destructive relationships is because I know what it feels like to be in one.” (taken from the “about” page)
“The Bible Project is a non-profit animation studio that produces short-form, fully animated videos to make the biblical story accessible to everyone, everywhere. We create videos, podcasts, and study guides that explore the Bible’s unified story.” (taken from the “about us” page)
I extend my gratitude to each of these bloggers/writers. These are only 10 bloggers. There are many more excellent Christian writers out there.
Perhaps you are someone that wants to write too. I encourage you to start a blog.
The world needs to hear about what you have to share. Don’t know how to start a blog? Check out the blog my son, Roman Randall, wrote called “How to Start a Self-Hosted WordPress Blog in 10 Minutes or Less.” Roman is the person that helped me start my blog in 2012. I am so thankful for his encouragement and guidance.
11. In fact, check out his blog at RomanRandall.com
Roman is quite an inspirational person and writer. I’m super proud of him!
He says he is “an entrepreneur, family man, and a follower of Jesus Christ. I’m the founder of Summit Digital Marketing, a digital marketing company, helping businesses get found online and increase their reach, revenue, and impact. I also host a podcast, called ‘The Entrepreneur’s Summit Podcast.’
My mission is to encourage, educate, and empower others through my writing, podcast, coaching, products, and my life.”
Is there a Christian blog that’s been an inspiration for you? I’d love to check them out, so please feel free to leave me their name in a comment after this post.
