Mother Teresa said, “When you know how much God is in love with you then you can only live your life radiating that love.”
I completely agree. We cannot show Christ’s love to the world around us unless we have fully grasped how much He loves us.
But How do you know that God loves you?
God’s love is personal. He, therefore, shows His love to each one of us uniquely.
I was forty years old when I committed my life to Jesus Christ. It was the best decision I have ever made.
When I opened my heart to Jesus, the Holy Spirit came to live inside of me. I was amazed at the fact that God Himself was residing inside of me now. It took me a while to understand how the Holy Spirit operates, but once I did my life began to change drastically.
When I invited Jesus into my heart I felt like I had found the last piece of the puzzle to my soul.
Jesus offered something I had never known all my life; intimacy, security and unconditional love.
I had never known love like the love God had for me until I met Jesus.
How do I know that He loves me?
I ask Him.
I just say to Him “Jesus do you love me?” He then reveals His love for me in various ways.
For example, the year my husband and I were separated, I often felt sad. One morning I was struggling more than usual and I cried out to Jesus to comfort me. That same afternoon my doorbell rang and it was my friend Nicole. She had a gift for me. It was a bracelet. The bracelet came in a nice packaging and even had a title. It was called the “He loves you” bracelet.
I believe it was God that moved in my friend’s heart to encourage me with His love that day. God often uses people to accomplish His work.
However, I have to choose to believe that Jesus loves me.
I walk with Christ by faith.
When I committed my life to Jesus I was really scared. When I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior, I did it by faith.
I believe in the Holy Bible, by faith. This means when I read a Bible verse I believe it to be written for me.
I believe that God loves me, by faith. This means I have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart open to His love.
His faithfulness and goodness communicate His love for me (tweet this).
When I see how God provides for my every need (financial, physical or emotional) I see How affectionate He is. This doesn’t mean He just gives me whatever I want or that I won’t ever struggle. It means I trust in His unwavering love for me and know that He will always take care of me.
He is my anchor of hope and security when my days are challenging. I can count on Him to strengthen, comfort and/or encourage me (Psalm 18:2).
I also know He loves me because the Holy Spirit tells me.
I sense God’s presence through the power of the Holy Spirit within me (Romans 5:5). My confidence in Jesus’s love for me is encouraged as I spend time with Him and learn to understand how He speaks to me.
I encourage you to keep an open mind towards how God may be expressing His love to you individually. Do your part and walk by faith. This means allowing yourself to believe that God’s in love with you and that He wants to lavish His love on you (1 John 3:1).
Once you really understand how much God loves you, your life will be transformed and you will radiate His love.
I thank Jesus for His love for us ~ a love that never changes and never ends.
I’d love to hear how you receive God’s love for you, so please free to leave me a comment below.
“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” ~ Ephesians 3:19.

It is so cool when God personally answers our question. Thank you for sharing your life encounters with such a special God. If I am a seeker today I would give God a chance after hearing your testimony. His mercy is new everyday. Thank you, God, for Tweeny’s obedience to write for you.

This week, the Lord led me to share with the students in chapel that His love for us must be our foundation. The world will steal our joy, seek to discourage and tear us down but we can stand firm IF we stand firm in the knowledge that God truly LOVES US. We are are His precious children ~ dearly beloved by Him! Very timely. I’m going to link the family’s to your blog post for further reading! Excellent and timely! <3

Patti-that’s awesome! I love how the Lord confirms a message for us. I’m happy to have been used in your life this week to confirm the message of being confident in His love. I like the point you make here about the world robbing our joy and discouraging us and how easy it is to have that happen if we don’t already know in our hearts how deeply in love God is with us. He loves us more than our human brains can grasp.
Thank you for your support of my writings Patti. I really appreciate you linking my blog to others. You are a blessing to me. Love you~
